Career Summary

Charlotte FC announced the signing of American midfielder Eryk Williamson on Jan. 15, 2025. Williamson joined the Club from the Portland Timbers in exchange for $100,000 in General Allocation Money.

Prior to joining Charlotte FC, Williamson spent his entire professional career with the Portland Timbers. The Alexandria, Virginia native featured in a total of 112 matches across all competitions, adding six goals and 20 assists. In 2020, Williamson and the Timbers won the MLS is Back Tournament. He missed significant portions of the 20201 and 2023 seasons due to ACL injuries. Before his time with the Timbers, Williamson played three seasons at the University of Maryland where he appeared in 39 matches and contributed nine goals and 10 assists while being named the 2017 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year.

At the international level, Williamson has six senior caps with the United States on his resume. His most recent stint donning the USMNT came during the 2021 Gold Cup where he recorded an assist across four appearances, including a start in the 1-0 victory over Mexico in the final. Williamson also has a total of 19 appearances with the United States youth squads across the U-18, -20 and -23 age groups. The midfielder featured prominently in the squad at both the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where the U.S. fell in the Quarterfinals to Venezuela after extra time, and the 2017 Concacaf U-20 Championship, where the U.S. topped Honduras in the final on penalties.

International: Has six appearances with the United States Men’s National Team. Made senior debut as a substitute against Kosovo on Nov. 12, 2023. Featured in 19 matches with United States youth squads, including appearances at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2017 Concacaf U-20 Championship where the U.S. took down Honduras in penalties in the final.
